Clean and Simple

just a quick post today to show you a valentine card that I have made following the sketch over at
Less is More

I have used a 5 x 7 card blank that I bought from a local craft show last year.

The papers are from my stash, i love the little bugs carrying the letters, It was part of an A4 pad that I think is from do-crafts a couple of years ago.

The Heart is a sizzix die called Primative hearts and I cut it 3 times and glued them together, I then added some button twine around it.

the sentiment is computer generated and I think the font is Abbyline.

Meant to be

OMG where has the last week gone to?

I have had a very busy week, first I decided to tidy up my wardrobe and have a good clean out
for the charity shop, that was one job I wished I had not started but it's all done now!
I than thought I would have a bit of a spring clean in my craft room, I sorted out my tub that gets full of all the little off cuts that you don't like to throw away, then when I was ready to craft I went to cut out a label for a gift bag and my beloved sizzix machine did not work!!  It seams to only cut on one side and I have tried to turn my work around but even that's not working very well.  I had some money for my birthday last week that I wanted to use for some new dies but looks like I may have to get a new machine.  This also poses a dilemma,  what to get do I go for a Grand calibur or stick with the big shot?  any one got any ideas?
The challenge this fortnight at Wild Orchid Challenges is spring photo inspiration, are'nt they lovely spring colours?
this is the card I made
The image is called meant to be from LOV and it is one I have had for ages, I have coloured it with my pro markers and some copics.
The pretty lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts along with the roses, and the metal corner embellishment which I have covered in white paint.  I have added some Frayed Burlap distress ink around all the edges.
The papers are a freebie from this months Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine called fairy belle collection from Prima, aren't they just gorgeous and such lovely spring colours?  The pearls and glass heart are from my stash.
I have also decorated the inside to match the front.
Challenges

Wild Orchid - spring photo inspiration
Inky Chicks - bingo
Lili of the Valley - Anything goes

Sunshine

Hope you are all well and getting in loads of crafting!
The weather is lovely here in Leicester, blue skies and sunshine, not sure how long it will last.
I have not blogged much this week due to working nights but hopefully I will catch up next week.

Today I have a card made using an Elizabeth bell card topper from The Hobby House
This is from the sheet called My Little Garden and they are great when you don't feel like colouring and need a quick card.

I have used some papers from a pad that was free with this months Quick Cards, they are by Kaisercraft and are gorgeous, has soon as i saw them I knew I was going to use these card toppers with them.
The buff card is from paper mill direct, I use this whenever I want a craft card.

I added some orange polka dot ribbon, bow and a little button.

I have had to re- take the photo because the button was missing from my original  (lol) think it was not stuck very well.

Little bit of country

good afternoon.

Below is this weeks Sketch for the Sketch N Stash challenge.

For my card today I have again used some of the lovely papers from LOV Bonnet and Bow tie paper pad, I really love these blues and pinks at the moment.
The Image is from Sarah Kay a little bit of country, which I am ashamed to say I have had for 12 months and not got around to using.  I have used Pro markers and flex markers to colour the image.
I have also decorated the inside of the card, and added a little bow that is from a memory box die that I had for Christmas.
I have tried to keep the embellishments to a minimum because I think that the image says it all

This is the inside of my card and I have used an image from the digital collection of the same paper available at Nit Wits.  The little blue bow is from memory box.

Kraft card

 Good evening.

well I am back from my little break in Norfolk! we had a lovely week away and the weather was
very kind to us, on Saturday we took a boat trip out to Blakeney Point to look at the seals. The weather was cold but with lovely clear blue sky.

I also have some good news, when I got home today and checked back on some challenges that I had entered, I found that I had made the top 3 at last weeks Crafty little Fairies, and I also won the challenge at Wild Orchid Crafts so feeling very pleased with myself at the moment.

Onto my card,
The image is one that I used earlier on in Jan and enjoyed colouring it so much I thought I would use it again! I did all the colouring  last week when I was away (always take some crafting stuff)
I have used kraft card from Paper mill Direct.
The Seam binding was originally white and I coloured with Copic pens to get the same shade of blue, I added a polka dot button tied with some twine. I have also added a little glamour dust to the top of the watering can and the water spray

Baby Girl

I am back with a card

I made this card for my Nephew and his wife, for the birth of the their daughter.

The image is from The Clip Art Fairy, all about a girl and although I bought this last summer it is still available and is great value for money, it comes with other images and some papers.

I have printed it out onto White Linen Card, I then re-printed and cut out some of the clothing, and used some foam pads to lift.

The Sentiment is computer generated, the lower sentiment did not show up very well when I took
the photo.

I added some gems from Hobby House to finish it off.

good news

Hello everyone, sorry I have not blogged for a few days but I have been working nights, and the days just seem to all merge into one!

We also decided to go away for a few days in our touring caravan, so here we are at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.  This is one of my favourite areas and hopefully if this rain ever stops we will get in some bird watching at the
 RSPB reserve in Titchwell.

Anyway now onto my news, I am always saying that I don't win anything and today I found out that I have won the recent challenge at
Oldie but a Goodie !!! just goes to show we are all in with a chance, lol
They have just started a new challenge new beginnings.

I was sooooo excited and can not wait to have a play with the stamp.

anyway buy for now, and may be back later with a card.

Anything but a Card

I hope that the weather is not to bad where you are, and you are not flooded.
Here in Leicester it has not stopped raining since the early hours and our garden is begining to look like a small pond!

Today I am showing you a bag I made from an A4 envelope.
I found the tutorial for this here
It was so easy to make and the hardest part was decorating it.
I used a pre-coloured topper from LOV that I bought over 12 months ago, these toppers are no longer available which is a shame they were great value for money and great if you needed a quick card, they were sold on A4 sheets and you got about 8 different size images of the same design.

The little lace flowers I made myself by gathering some lace and making into a small circle, adding a little pearl flower in the centre.

I used a Martha Stewart boarder punch for the top of the bag, and the little scroll is from LOV along with the sentiment.

I used a papermania Magnetic clasp to close the top of the bag.

Enjoy your day

Happy New Year to everyone. Have you made any new year resolutions?

I promised myself that I would blog more often, and use up some of my crafty stash before buying any new goodies!! not sure how long the second bit will last.

This is my first post of 2014 and I had intended to post it yesterday but did not get time, I started on a set of 5 nights last night so that will take up most of my time.
I have also started to add a watermark to my images which I have made myself in photo shop.

My card was made using this new sketch from Sketch N Stash
I have had this stamp in my box for months and I am ashamed that I have not coloured it before now, it was such a cute image to colour.

I have also used my new Flag Banner die that I had for Christmas.
