Shaker Card

Yes its me again, I know don't post for ages and now 2 in one day lol

I thought I would have a little break from Christmas Cards, and have a little play with my Happy Little Stampers stamp sets which are available HERE

I decided to make a little shaker card as I love making them!!  I stamped the elephant from Birthday Friends set onto some grey card and then fussy cut out.  I used MFT pierced rectangle frame to create the shaker part and added a little panel of card to the back that I stamped using the little banner stamp from the same set.  The sequins are pink but I think they were catching the light and some look a bit peachy coloured.  I used a balloon die that I had free with a magazine a few months ago and added some silver thread and a little bow.

Love how this turned out and if you visit the shop you can see some more fab cards in the gallery

One layer card

Hello.........

first off I must say I am sorry for beind such a bad blogger recently, I have lots going on at the moment, and I have neglected my crafting and blogging.  I think also when you have had some time away from the craft room it is hard to get back into it.

I have a very quick and simple 1 layer card today.  I masked off a panel on the side and then used my grunge stamp to add some colour using pink pirouette, soft sky and so saffron ink. I then addeed a happy birthday sentiment and some sequins.

My favourite things

Hello .............

Welcome to the start of a new challenge at Moving Along With The Times.

Mrs Duck from team A as chosen the theme of anything from the My Favourite Things song from the great film the Sound of Music.  If you are not sure of the words then just pop on over to the MAWTT blog HERE.

Onto my card and I went with ' Snowflakes on my nose and eyelashes' well just the snowflakes really!!

My card base is Pool Party from stampin up and I used some white pigment ink to stamp my snowflakes.  I covered a panel of Pool Party card with some glittery velum and printed the sentiment on my computer.  I wrapped some silver cord around my panel and added a diecut snowflake.
lool forward to seeing your creations.

Red & Gold

I have a card to share using the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits Dies from 'Stampin Up'.
I made a card base in ivory linen card and  also cut a panel for the front which I die cut a circle in.  I then die cut my ornament in red mirror card, and also a frame to cover the circle. I adhered both the ornament and frame to my panel and added a piece of acetate behind the circle. I used some gold cord to hang my ornaments and adhered to the back of the panel with a glue dot.  I then used Christmas Greeting Thinlits from ' Stampin Up for the merry and cut in red mirror card and funky foam.  I added merry to the front panel and stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink.
To create the shaker part of my card I used some funky foam on the back of my card base added my
Red, Gold & Black sequins before adding the panel.
The challenge over at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge this week is Red & Gold, I think there is enough Gold to count. lol

Mixed Media Christmas Tag

Loll over at stamping with loll is hosting a twelve days of christmas mixed media tag challenge.

Mixed media is not something that I am over confident using but I do love to play with new things, so I thought I would have a go.

I used a Stampin up punch for my tag and sponged in Blckberry Bliss, and Island indigo ink before stampingand one of the tree images from Festival of Trees set in white and added lots of glamour dust, I then tore off some white card for my snow and stamped a sentiment from LOTV in silver ink.

Happy Little Stampers have a Christmas Challenge Tag which started on 5th November and you can link up HERE

thanks

Hi everyone, I have a card to share using a new technique for me, I have seen so many fantastic cards created using Inka Gold I decided to buy some and have a little play.  I watched some videos and tutorials on you tube and then decided to have a go at this technique from Loll which you can find here

I started off with some mixed media card, distress re inker and some inca gold paste, after following Loll's tutorial this is my result.  I love the panel that I have created and the hardest part was waiting for it to dry.
I used a memory box butterfly die and then rubbed some inca gold paste all over it, and then mounted onto my card base with some foam pads.
The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers Shop ' Thinking of You' set. Which is available HERE

This month the CAS challenge at Happy Little Stampers is Gilding so I will be linking my card up to the challenge.
