MINOR PRIZES

Four lucky commenters (selected randomly) will win a gift certificate to the HLS store!

My first card has been created using . .......
Mixed Christmas Sentiments

Next up is my card using ............Bold Birthday Sentiments

I have created a card base from craft card, and added a panel of ivory card.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre and then used a mixture of the stars in orange and blue around it.
This is a very quick and simple card and can be adapted for male or female just by changing the colours you use.

I hope I have inspired you today with my cards. The designers and I have had so much fun playing with these stamps! Next you need to hop on over to Gloria Lee blog.

Christmas Card Challenge

Hello everyone......... welcome to a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.

This week we have a photo challenge for your inspiration.

I cut a panel of white card slightly smaller than the card base and die cut a circle.  To create the night sky I used a snippet of Brusho card from my stash and added two of the edge dies from stampin up.
The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers Mixed Christmas Sentiments.

time to Chill

Good morning everyone and welcome to a new challenge over at M.A.W.T.T
Janice as chosen the challenge and she would like to see Hats & Scarfs on your cards.

I have used Snow Friends stamps and matching dies from Stampin Up.  The Background is a Taylored expression embossing folder Snowfall, and I used die namics stitched snowdrifts die.
I love this new stamp set and the matching dies make adding accessories so easy.

This challenge will run for 2 weeks.

Just to say...

Thank you for all the well wishes for my Dad.  I have some good news, he had his operation today, although he was in theatre for most of the day the operation went well and he is recovering in ICU. I will be going to visit tomorrow.

Now onto my card, I thought I would have a break from Christmas cards, I have used a stamp from LOTV  and coloured her with intense pencils, I have only used these a few times but I am pleased with the result. The sentiment is also from LOTV and I created the layout using a Blue print set from MFT.

The current CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stamper is colouring, I think this fits the challenge.

Deck the Halls

A good evening to you all.... A quick update, I have taken my dad back to the cardiac ward and they have all ready changed the day for his operation from Tues (tomorrow) to Wed morning, although he can stay in until then.  I just hope that they are able to perform the operation on Wed because my dad is getting very anxious about it.  I will keep you posted.

onto my card, I made this initially for the current challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge Holly, but it also fits a couple of other challenges, Addicted to CAS Leaves, and I think it fits with this weeks Merry Monday Sentiment as a focal point.

I used some Mossy Meadow card for my base and then added a square of Very Vanilla and Real Red all from stampin up, the Holly is from a little die that I have had for ages and I don't know where its from.  The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers Shop.

peace

good morning hope you have all had a good week, I certainly have had a busy one! My dad due to have his heart by-pass operation on Friday so we took him in on Thursday afternoon and left him with word that his operation would be first thing.  On Friday they had an emergency so put Dads op back until lunch time, then at 3 o clock they decided that they would not be able to perform the operation so sent him home!! We have to go through the whole thing again on Monday aftertnoon ready for operation on Tuesday, fingers crossed that all goes to plan

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges

I have another poinsettia card for you today using a stamp set from the new Stampin Up seasonal catalogue called 'reason for the season'.  In this set you get the main flower stamp and also a stamp to make the watercolour effect of the petals and another one for the leaves.  When I first saw this set I did not think I would use it much but since using it at my stamp class this week I love it!! It is so versatile so I think you will be seeing lots more cards with this set

I made a card base from Mossy Meadow card and added a panel of vanilla. The poinsettia outline was stamped in memento ink and then the petal stamp in Real Red and the leaves in Old Olive all from Stampin Up. The sentiment is part of the set, and I added 3 sequins for decoration.

Holly

Just a little reminder the current challenge over at Happy Little Stamper Christmas Challenge is Holly.

For my card I made a background from some green and orange burshos and stamped my Holly onto it in versamark in because it shows up better. I added a bit of red promarker to the berries, some green dots and a sentiment from Happy Little Stamper Mixed Christmas Sentiments.

I am also going to link up to the

Happy little Stamper Christmas Challenge September

Hello everyone it's time for the Christmas Challenge at Happy little Stampers

This challenge is sponsored by

This was a real challenge for me, I don't normaly make cards with Holly so had to think long and hard about what I was going to create. I had several failed attempts that went in the bin, before I finally came up with this.
I have used a stamp from woodware that I have had for ages,  I stamped onto some buff card and then coloured the leaves with pro markers, I added some pearls for the berries, the gold dots are actualy heat embossed but they really do not show very well.
The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

merry Christmas

This weeks challenge over at Less is More is sprays/mists, and Addicted to CAS have a challenge Blue.

I created the sky by stamping some pacific point ink onto my acrylic block spritzing with a shimmer paint spray and then quickly putting it onto some watercolour card. I then did the same again but this time used tempting turquoise ink and added next to my previous colour, and then left to dry.

I created my scene using one of the new edgelet dies from stampin up (love these) dies, I think you will be seeing lots of these cards.  I love how this peice of card turned out, it just looks like a night sky and I like how the light comes from the top like a moon. I thought I would keep it very simple and just add the sentimet which is from the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Sentiments, stamped in Pacific Point ink,  these stamps are absolutely lovely to stamp with and I can not wait for the next release of stamps.

Snail Mail

This weeks challenge at CAS.ology is write, and when I saw it I knew what stamp i was going to use.

The snail and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens.

I have stamped in soft sued ink and then coloured the snail with some pencils.  I added a little wink of stella to his shell.  The envelope was stamped in melon mambo and then fussy cut before mounting onto the snails back with a foam pad.

Stampin Up seasonal catalogue

Hello.........

Today sees the launch of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue from Stampin Up and they have some gorgeous christmas stamps and dies, and lots of offers where you can buy dies, stamps and punches as a package at 15% off so why not have a browse by clicking on the catalogue on my right hand tool.  If you would like to purchase anything just drop me a line as I will be placing an order later this week.

First up are 2 cards that I created using the new Sleigh Ride Edgelits for some reason I only ordered the dies and not the stamps so they are on my next order lol
I embossed some vellum for the back ground using a snowflake embossing folder and then placed over some Pool Party card stock, I cut out all of the edgelets but only used 2 for this card, I mounted the bottom one onto some foam pads to give it a bit of dimension.
The sentiment is from LOTV stamp set.

For my next card I started off with a 5 x 5 square card base and added a snippet of brusho card for the night sky.  I stamped a star and coloured it in with some glitter pen, and then added my 3rd edgelet over to create a little scene.  I then took a piece of cardstock that I had cut with a stitched square die before I die cut a circle into it.  I used to foam tape to mount onto my card base.
