You're so Sweet

CCMC395

I have created this card following the sketch over at

Thought I would make something nice, bright and cheery and this is what I came up with.
I used the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set from the sale-a-brations catalogue, stamped the chicken in black ink onto Daffodil Delight card and then fussy cut out, i used a blender to colour the beak and legs in Tangelo Twist ink.  I matted some DSP onto a base of Tangelo Twist cardstock, added a snippet of tangelo twist card stock, a strip of very vanilla and then some thick twine, I mounted this panel onto the base with some dimensionals.  The little chick was adhered using some glue dots.
I added the sentiment from the same set and stamped in Tangelo Twist ink.

I am also entering this card into Pixie's crafty snippets challenge as i have used snippets of card and twine on my card.

Going Global

Yet again I have to appologise for my absence, but shortly after my last post I found out that a very dear friend had passed away quiet suddenly, I found that I just did not have the will to craft and could not find any Motivation.  I recieved some new craft goodies on Wednesday and did not even unpack them until today when I decided to spend some time in my craft room and see what happened, this is the card I created following the sketch over at

I decided to use my new stamp set Going Global from Stampin Up, but I unfortunately did not order any of the matching DPS so used up some of my snippets.

I started with a very vanilla card base, stamped the world die onto very vanilla and cut with a sizzix circle which I then realised was to big so cut again with a smaller one and was left the little frame.
I used some snippets of Tangerine Tango washi tape and black and vanilla spotted DSP.
I adhered the two strips and the little circle to my card base and then popped the world globe onto some foam pads and adhered near the frame.
the sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Mixed Media

I have created this card for the new challenge that started today over at
CAS colours & Sketches and the Mixed media Challenge at Happy Little Stampers

The picture makes the butterfly look pink but it is in fact pale lilac, I used Milled lavender distress ink.

I started by making a spray from acrylic paint and then misting a piece of white cardstock, then I used a stitched rectangle die to create my panel.

The butterfly was created by stamping in purple ink first and then again in clear and adding some clear embossing powder and heat embossing.  I then inked up the white bits with some Milled Lavender distress ink.

I added some metallic silver thread under my butterfly and then mounted with some foam pads.
My sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers Mix Mash set stamped in purple ink.

I am also linking this into the current

Thank You

What a horrible wet day we have had, yesterday we had a lovley walk in the sunshine and it was quiet warm out of the wind, got up today and so miserable, so I have spent time in my craft room.

I have created this card for the challenge over at CAS colours and sketches that finishes in a few hours, I used the What I love stamp set, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Old Olive ink pads.
This is a 3 stage stamp set, I stamped the outer in Melon Mambo and then the 2 inner stamps used Pink Pirouette.
I die cut my panel with a stitched rectangle and mounted onto card base with sime dimensionals.

Just Sayin HELLO

I just love these bright colours for this weeks challenge over at

I will be working away from home for 6 months starting in May,  so I am trying to make some cards that I can use to keep in touch with friends and family.

I used Tangerine tango for the card base and then used DSP in daffodil delight matted onto some Pool Party card stock.  I used Hello You Thinlits die cutting the Hello 4 times in Pool Party cardstock and then adhering together to give the word some dimension.
I stamped just sayin in Tangerine Tango.

Sending Thanks

Hello.........

I appologise for  my absence but I was away all last week on a training course for a new job that I start in May, and came home on Friday full of cold, so spent the entire week end on the sofa feeling sorry for myself,  I couldn't even bring myself to do any crafting.  I am feeling bit better now, just need to get rid of my headache.

I have a one layer card to share today made using the Summer Silhouettes stamp set from
Stampin Up.

I stamped the border stamp twice in crumb cake ink, using my stamp -a-ma-jig to line up for the second stamp. I used crumb cake again for the leaf, and then the rest is stamped using Blackberry Bliss.  The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

I am entering this card into this weeks challenge over at Less is More

Bloomin Love - My Valentine

CCMC392

I have a card to share using the Bloomin Love stamp and matching dies from Stampin Up.
I have used the colours from the new challenge at Create with Connie and Mary

We used this stamp and die set at my technique class on Tuesday, with Joanne from the Crafty Owl, so thought I would give it a play for this challenge.  This heart die just calls out to be inlaid with another colour and there are so many gorgeous creations on Pinterest for inspiration.

I used Crumb cake for my card base, started off with some Rose Red card stock and die cut the lacy heart.  I then cut a panel of Crumb Cake and die cut the heart again. I inlaid the Rose Red heart into the space and then very slowly pocked out all the little bits from the Crumb Cake heart and adhered them into the Rose Red one (hope this makes sense!!) very slow process. Using some Blushing Bride I die cut some flowers and adhered them onto the heart, added some Rhinestones and stamped the sentiment from the set in Rose Red. I also stamped inside the card

Tic Tac Toe from Happy Little Stampers

Welcome to the February challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.
Not sure where January went, I blinked and it was gone!! At leaste we are getting to some lighter evenings which I love.

This month we have a Tic Tac Toe for you so just pick a row from the grid make your card and link it up HERE as always we are sponsored by the wonderful Happy Little Stampers Shop HERE

I went straight across the middle with my card, glitter sentiment and Santa love santa on christmas cards.
I die cut a panel from Very vanilla card and then used a double stitched circle to cut out the apperture.
I added some DSP and a little snow driftbefore mounting the whole panel with some foam pads onto my card base.  I fussy cut the santa from some DSP added lots of glitter and adhered him to the front of the card.  I stamped a sentiment from the Mixed Christmas Sentiments set from Happy Little Stampers, I use this sentiment lots because I love the font and the size.

I am going to add this card to the challenge at

Happy Birthday Mum

Over the last few weeks I have been trying to sort out some of my old stamps to sell and I found this LOTV stamp that had never been inked up!
I have used the middle line from the Tic Tac Toe challenge over at The Paper Players

The image is coloured with picked raspberry, mowed lawn and tumbled glass distress inks and i used a stitched rectangle die to cut my panel.
I covered the front of a 5 x 7 card with pink gingham paper from my stash, tied some twine around the panel and then mounted using dimensionals
The little tag and Mum stamp are both from LOTV and the Happy Birthday is from Happy Little Stampers.

Hello

Today sees the start of a new challenge at One Layer Simplicity with a theme of Friend.

I knew that I wanted to use this stamp from the Sale-a-bration catalogue and this is about my 3rd attempt!! I smudged my friend sentiment on my first and then on the 2nd the hello was slightly out of line, I nearly gave up and tried something different but I am happy with the 3rd attemp although the little face is not very clear, not sure if its the daffodil yellow ink not bright enough or just they way I have stamped it,
