Happy Birthday x 2

The internet on site is very slow and at time non existence, I would like to thank you all for the comments you leave, and I am trying to get around to your blogs.

I have not played along with CAS colours and sketches for some time, so when I saw this weeks challenge I thought I would have a play.

for my first card I used Painter Palette stamp set and added a thin strip of Mint Macaroon card stock.
The sentiment is from Rose Wonder set.

For my second card I created a one layer card.  I used my vintage leaves set again, stampint the leaves in mint macaroon and tangerine tango, the grunge was stamped in Rich Razzleberry, I then added a scored line to highlight the panel.

Christmas stockings

I thought I would make a start on some Christmas cards and play along with this weeks challenge over at Merry Monday

I have use Christmas Stocking Thinlits Dies, and co coordinating stamp set Hang Your Stockings

I have made 2 cards with different colour pinks, as I couldn't make up my mind which colour to use.

I used a mixture of Pink Pirouette, Melon Mamba, Smokey Grey, and Dazzling Diamond glitter card stock.

The sentiment was stamped in Smokey Grey ink.

AhoyThere

Good morning..........

Today is the start of a new challenge over at MAWTT
Carol from Team A as chosen a sketch.

I have to admit that I struggled with this, if you follow my blog you will know that my style is
normally CAS.

This is the card that I came up with

I used my Seaside Shore stamp set and some of the co coordinating by the shore DSP
I used a set of die namics blueprint dies and cut a large stitched square for my base,
(I thought the waves on the paper represented the three strips on the sketch).
I cut a 2 inch strip of DSP I used my triple banner punch to create the side panel.
Using a lighter piece of the same wave DSP I cut a small stitched circle and then stamped in Daper Denim the seaweed and bubbles.
On very vanilla card stock I stamped my fish in calypso coral, fussy cut and then covered in some wink of stella before adhering to the circle with some foam pads.
My sentiment was stamped in Daper Denim and also fussy cut, and adhered with some foam pads.
I have also decorated the inside of the card.

Thank You

This card was meant to be one layer, in fact it was the original card for last nights post!
When I removed the masking tape from the front of this one it tore some of the card so I had to cut the panel and then mount onto the front of another card base.
I added some cherry cobbler twine around the card, I used the envelope punch board to create the recess for the twine.

I am entering this card into this weeks Less is More challenge Thread

One layer Thank you

Today I have a One Layer Card to share using Vintage Leaves stamp set from Stampin Up.
I firstly masked off a section of my card base and stamped my leaves in Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie and daffodil delight.  Then I used Soft Suede and a stamp from the Awesomely Artistic to create the grunge over the leaves.
Using my score board I scored a line across the top and bottom of the panel.
To finish off I stamped my sentiment in Soft Suede.

I am entering this card into the CAS on Sunday challenge ONE LAYER CARD

A Little Sparkle

Good evening ..........

I have a few cards to share tonight that I have made using a stamp set and dies from Wplus9.  I have had this set ages and never really used it until now, so thought that whilst it was out I would make a few cards. I struggle to take any decent pictures in our caravan awning so the glitter doesn't show up very well

I was inspired to create these cards by the theme this week at

DIAMONDS

For this card I created a card base from white card stock, and die cut a frame using die namics stitched frames. I cut a piece of acetate to fit and stuck to the reverse of the frame.
The word sparkle was die cut first from funky foam and then again from Dazzling Diamond glitter card, I used the little bit of foam and glitter card to also cut some stars.
After many attempts I managed to stamp onto my acetate in Stazon black ink, using the word Sparkle as a guide for placement. I then added some foam dimensionals around the frame, added some sequins in a small pile to my card front before placing the frame over them. I added some little stars and gems to the panel

My second card was made by stamping the sentiment with versamark ink onto black cardstock, and heat embossed in white, I then used die namics stitched squares to create to panels, and mounted them onto the card front with dimensionls and added some bling.

I also heat embossed this sentiment, die cut my panels and popped them up with dimensionals adding some glitter stars and gems.

For this card I die cut the word shine from funky foam and dazzling diamond card, the rest of the sentiment was heat embossed and I added some stars and gems.

Hello there, today I have a CAS card created using the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set from Stampin Up.
This set as lots of lovely sentiments using some super fonts as well as the cake stamp

I created my card base using whisper white thick card stock, I used two dies from the MFT stitched rectangle set, cutting one in Pink Pirouette and a smaller one in whisper white.  The image and sentiment was stamped in black memento ink. and I used some Pink Pirouette and Smoky Slate ink along with a blender pen to colour the cake.  I adhered the pink panel to the card base and then popped the white on top with some foam dimensional's

Serene Scenery DSP

Hello, I seem to be on a little bit of a roll with my card making at the moment.
I decided to open up my pack of the lovely new Serene Scenery DSP from the Stampin up seasonal catalogue.

This paper is simply gorgeous with lots of  different backgrounds that need very little adding to them apart from a sentiment.  I used a card base of crumb cake, and added my DSP to a mat of black card stock. I added some thick twine around and tied into a bow, added my sentiment popped up with dimensional's and my card was finished.  So easy.

This card uses the left over strip of the above DSP, and with its dots I thought it would fit this weeks challenge over at The paper Players, which is

I have use the triple banner punch to create the side panel and then die cut a circle for my sentiment.

another very quick and easy card.

Marbling - Happy Birthday

Hello.........

I have a two more cards to share, created using the marbling with shaving foam technique.

I made three or four pieces of card using the same batch of foam and inks.

For this card I used a snippet left over to die cut a butterfly.  I created a white card base, and then die cut my stitched rectangle from a die namics die, and stamped Happy Birthday in Rich Razzleberry ink before mounting onto my card front using dimensional's. I added the butterfly and some enamel dots.

I am entering this card into the Less is more Challenge

this is another card made using a panel of marbling, and I just die cut the flower stem from the panel and then cut again in foam before adding back together.

Marbling Technique

Good evening to you all, I seem to have a little bit more time now that the Summer Hols are over, the site is not so busy now, which means that I actually get some free time in the evenings.  I only have 11 weeks left before our current contract finishes.  We are hoping to go home and catch up with family for a few weeks before heading off to Spain for Christmas.

I have created my card using a new technique to me Marbling with shaving foam.

Please excuse the awful photo but I don't have very good lighting at the moment.

I followed the tutorial link on this months CAS mix up card challenge blog.
I squirted shaving foam into a baking tray added some drops of, Rich Razzleberry, Night of  Navy and Marina mist ink refills from Stampin Up. This is a piece from one of the first sheets of card that I placed onto the foam, some of the other pieces are more subtle in colour.
To create my card, I cut a piece of my marble card, and then die cut the HELLO from the panel and also out of funky foam, before layering it all back into the negative space.
I stamped friend in Rich Razzleberry ink added some silver sequins and all done.

I have used Stamping + Marbling + Die cuts

MAWTT - Wedding card

Today is the start of a new challenge over at MAWTT

Mrs Duck as chosen the theme
which is to include anything from the first verse of Dana's All Kinds of Everything from the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest

Snowdrops and daffodils
butterflies and bees
sailboats and fishermen
things of the sea
wishing-wells
wedding bells
early morning dew
all kinds of everything remind me of you

I have picked wedding bells

I used vanilla card stock to create my wedding card, and the embossing folder is an old one from Conture Creations, called "Tied Together". The gorgeous flowery heart was created using the "Bloomin Heart" thinlits from Stampin up. I added a couple of layers of flowers to the heart before mounting to card front with dimensionals.  To finish off I added some little pearls to the centre of the flowers.  I created a small banner for the sentiment.
