Beautiful things

Another short post today.
When I am working nights I never seem to have the time to do anything apart from work and sleep, but I have got a week off from Monday so not too bad.

This image is a digi available from Sprinkle and Sparkle,
I have printed onto white linen card stock from Paper Mill Direct and re-sized and re-coloured the image in Publisher. The brown card is also from Paper Mill Direct called Buff.

I love this sentiment by Helen Keller, and makes me think of one of my favourite places

Titchwell RSPB nature reserve in Norfolk.

vintage card

This is a card I made using Kaisercraft Christmas collection papers which
are in this months
Simply cards and Papercraft magazine.

The topper is from the vintage Christmas collection at Which Craft, I bought the 12 x 12 sheet last Christmas and never got around to using them!

I have used some brown buff card from Paper Mill Direct and distressed the edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink.

I have used some gold glass glitter on the round ends of some white long stamens from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the leaves are a punch.

Card Recipe

Papers- Free from magazine
Image - from which craft last year
Lace and ribbon from stash although I think the lace was from Wild orchid crafts last year!
The poinsetta is Spellbinders die again bought last year, and I have distress edges.
Charm is from stash.

Perfect Pear

Evening everyone, what a utterly miserable day it has been here in Leicester.
This is a quick post to show a Clean and Simple card that I have made for a friends wedding anniversary.

the picture is terrible because of the light, think I need to practice with my camera lol...

The digi image is so old i am not even sure where it was from!
I have used Buff card from Paper mill direct and reprinted the image on some digi paper which is from the Sweet Shopee papers called Just Because, don't think these are available anymore I then cut out the pears and paper pieced them onto the image.  I mounted the image on some black card.
The sentiment is computer generated and the font is called Daddy's Girl.

well that's it for to night ( did say it was short and sweet)

Many thanks for looking

Winter Fairly

Evening to you all

Hope you have had a good week end, I have had a very busy one, as we were out on Friday for a lovely meal with friends so late to bed!!  Yesterday we were invited to a friends wedding.  We had a lovely day, and the sun even came out for a while so that the happy couple could have some photos taken outside in the garden.

I started to colour this image on Friday afternoon and had to finish it off today so that I could make this card to enter into this weeks Papertake weekly challenge.
I have used the following sketch

This is the card I made following the sketch

I have used a digital image from wee stamps called Winter Fairy, I think she is so cute.
It is a while since i used my pro-markers or done any cards for that matter so my colouring is a bit hit and miss but I am reasonably pleased with the end result!

Busy week

What a busy week it was last week!  Out for lunch in Rugely on Monday for  Kev's mum's 80th birthday, we had a lovely meal and caught up with relatives from Wales that we had not seen for a few years.

I then worked another week of nights at Leicester which was very busy, I did at times wonder why I was there, but just kept telling myself they money's good and I am not doing any more after December, I could then have all Dec and Jan at home, bliss.

Well I finally made my Sloe Gin I have got 11/2 litres in the back of the cupboard, should be ready for New Year.

Thats it for now, I will post some pics of the halloween goodie bags that I have made for Courtney, Morgan and Lacey.  I have also made some small ones for next door.

I will be very busy over the next few days finishing off a wedding cake that I have made for a Friends wedding on Saturday 2nd November, will post some pics after the wedding.
