Enjoy Life's Moments

Hello ...............

What a horrible day here in the UK yesterday was!  It was so damp and miserable I thought I might have to put some heating on in the house, hard to believe that a couple of weeks ago we had a heatwave.........

Onto my card,

This card originaly started out with just the card base and my balloon but the sentiment was not straight so i thought I would add the stitched rectangle to hide that mistake, and then guess what I stamped onto the rectangle and it was smudged!!!!! I nearly gave up and binned it but then cut out the little banner and stamped my sentiment onto that.

I cut my balloon out of a snippet of some water coloured card that I made using Brushos and I had a little left that I was going to put in the bin until I saw the challenge over at Less is More which this week is to use snippets.
I used a glitter pen to highlight the balloon before mounting onto foam pads.  The sentiment is an old Kaiser craft stamp.

I am entering this card into the following challenge

and as I have used snippets on my card I am entering this into the current challenge over at

  1. Well rescued Gail and great use of your snippets...why do sentiments always want to go wonky! Carol x

  2. Hi Gail! Welcome to the Snippets Playground - lovely to have you joining in with this brilliant card. I've no idea why but your name rings a bell - on the other hand perhaps I know another Gail Townsend?

Would love to see you joining in again - it's a fun place with few rules - apart from no pinching or hair pulling :)

  7. Gail, just saw this over at the Snippet Playground, as a highlight. Hopped over to say Congrats on being recognized for this outstanding CAS. It's just really a pretty & very striking card with the burst of red over the linen look c/s and the stitched mat. Love it! TFS - Have a great week
