Meant to be

OMG where has the last week gone to?

I have had a very busy week, first I decided to tidy up my wardrobe and have a good clean out
for the charity shop, that was one job I wished I had not started but it's all done now!
I than thought I would have a bit of a spring clean in my craft room, I sorted out my tub that gets full of all the little off cuts that you don't like to throw away, then when I was ready to craft I went to cut out a label for a gift bag and my beloved sizzix machine did not work!!  It seams to only cut on one side and I have tried to turn my work around but even that's not working very well.  I had some money for my birthday last week that I wanted to use for some new dies but looks like I may have to get a new machine.  This also poses a dilemma,  what to get do I go for a Grand calibur or stick with the big shot?  any one got any ideas?
The challenge this fortnight at Wild Orchid Challenges is spring photo inspiration, are'nt they lovely spring colours?
this is the card I made
The image is called meant to be from LOV and it is one I have had for ages, I have coloured it with my pro markers and some copics.
The pretty lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts along with the roses, and the metal corner embellishment which I have covered in white paint.  I have added some Frayed Burlap distress ink around all the edges.
The papers are a freebie from this months Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine called fairy belle collection from Prima, aren't they just gorgeous and such lovely spring colours?  The pearls and glass heart are from my stash.
I have also decorated the inside to match the front.

  1. This is gorgeous, I think it has to be my favourite of your cards I've seen so far! The embellishments are so perfectly placed and the colours are really pretty.

  2. So pretty Gail.
I was given a GC and dont like so dont use it very often, I stick with my Cuttlebug. The GC does not cut very well, you have to run it through loads of times and keep turning the dies around the plate. Talk to more people to see what they think before you buy, xxx

    1. Thanks for the info. I love my sizzix and don't have any desire for A4 dies because to expensive, so may just buy new sizzix. X

  3. This is lovely Gail, such a pretty card! I have an eBosser and love it... I use all my dies on it, not just the big ones - the larger machine is handy as you can cut more than one die at the same time :o) Hugs, Lisa x
