Welcome to a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge, this month the theme is shaped card,
I don't tend to make many shapped cards so I have opted for a quick and simple Z fold card.
I started with a piece of cardstock 11 inch x 41/4 scored at 51/2 inch and then scored the front of the card at 2 3/4 and folded to make the Z.
for my image I created a stencil from christmas ornament die, placed it over a piece of craft card and sponged with white pigment ink. To create a more defined outer edge I used a white pencil around the stencil before i removed it.
The image was stamped in Crumb Cake and then highlighted with some white pencil and gel pen. I also added some glitter to the roof and over the bauble.
I used a sentiment from the same stamp set for inside the card, and then added some gold ribbon around the front.
I was inspired by a card on the Inkylicious blog for my card today.
Looks great Gail xxx

ReplyDeleteI've never done a "Z card" - must try it - thanks for the measurements! I love the kraft background for the lovely winter scene, and also love the way you put it in an ornament - a great card!
ReplyDeleteClever to think of the Z-fold to shape your card, and it truly looks so lovely. The colors are perfect and the scene within the ornament is just beautiful. Well done! TFS
