Some Bunny

This is a quick post before I take my Mum out for a birthday lunch
There are lots of valentine/love challenges at the moment and I have been inspired by Casology, AAA Cards, and Addicted to CAS

I have used Cute Bunny from Digi Stamp Boutique, and coloured with some pencils before cutting out.  I used the sentiment from the set and printed it onto a strip of card and made a little banner.
The red hearts are die cut from part of a blue print die set and I added some clear wink of stella to add a little glitter.
I used some foam tape for the bunnys and the banner.

A little Hello

Hope you are all having a lovely week end. I actually have a day to myself because the other half as gone to a Military Show over in Warwick so lots of crafty time for me..

This week the challenge at Less is More is DOWN UNDER.

I don't have any Australian stamps so thinking out the box I decided to go for under the sea.

This is a stamp that I have had a long time and I can not even tell you what make it is, although I do have 4 or 5 stamps of cats and dogs with some sentiments, not sure why I have never used it because its just so cute.

I have coloured the image with some promarkers and added a little glitter gel pen to the orange fishes before sponging some soft sky ink around to create the background sea. I added a frame made using some die namic dies and then added my sentiment which is from the same set of stamps.

As I have used my promarkers I am linking up to the current challenge over at

Botanical Blooms

Hello......... I have another card to share using the Botanical collection from the new Stampin Up seasonal catalogue.

I started of with a base of Cajun Craze card stock and added a piece of Botanical blooms DSP
I used Hello Honey Card to die cut my flowers and added some real red with a sponge and added a few line with my blender pen and dipped in the red ink.
I used a snippet of DSP to create one banner and a snippet of mint macaroon for the other adding a sentiment from Crazy about you.  The black line is a slither of DSP.
I die cut my leaf in Mossy Meadow and just glued the bottom onto my base. I glued one flower onto my card and propped the second one with some dimensionals.

I have followed the current sketch over at

CCMC391

Just For you

I have a card to share using the Botanicals for you stamp set from the Stampin Up Sale-a-bration catalogue.  This set is free when you spend £45.

I used some Botanical Garden DSP to cover my card base, and then cut some Mint Macaroon card stock at an angle following the sketch below from the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge
My sentiment was stamped in Black and I added some of the flowers in daffodil delight, tangerine tango and my leaves were stamped in Old Olive.

The inside was stamped with the words

On your special Day

I forgot to take a picture so will add later

Honourable mentions

This week I have had my cards picked in three different challenges.
 How lucky am I.............
I don't tend to enter challenges for a prize just for inspiration and to try something different, so to be picked I feel very honoured indeed.

Thinking of you

I have another card to share using my newly learnt brayering technique, each piece that I do looks different from the last but I am very pleased with this little panel.

I wanted to enter the current challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches which finishes in about 30 mins.

I started with a square of white card cut a circle from a post it for my sun , and started to brayer using So Saffron ink pad, this is quiet a light yellow so I had to go over a few times to build up the colour before applying Rose Red at the top.  I stamped my image from the Serene Silhouette set in soft suede and then mounted onto soft suede card.  I lined up my square on a Very Vanilla card base and with my Stamp -a- ma-jig lined up where I wanted my tree to be on the card base, I then stamped again on the card using soft suede ink.
The sentiment is from Moon Lake

I am also going to add this to the Less is More challenge

Brayering and Serene Silhouettes

Hello.........

What a week end I had, we moved mum & dad furniture wise on friday and then Sat and Sun was spent trying to organise the furniture and stuff in a much smaller space.
The kitchen as less cupboard space than the old one so not everything would fit, it was then decided that they would be better off to have a new kitchen (my brother in law fits kitchens).
They also have moved from a house with coal central heating so always had a little bit of heating from the boiler, now they have gas so thats taking some getting used to for them.
when I spoke to them today they seemed much happier now they getting settled and at least no more stairs.

Onto my card

once a month I attend a technique class with Joanne from the crafty owl and yesterday she organised a special class for Brayering, now I have never touched a brayer but have always admired the work created by other crafters so decided to have a go. We had a fab day and created lots of different backgrounds some good some not so good, this was one of the backgrounds from the class and I made it into a card last night.

I masked off  my Whisper White panel to create a strip and brayered Pear Pizzazz across the bottom of the panel and Blushing Bride across the top.  The silhouette stamp is from the set Serene Silhouettes, stamped in black ink. i added my panel to some Pear Pizzazz card, created a base from Blushing Bride added some pink twine and a sentiment from petite pairs before adhering to my base with some foam pads.  I added some little dots to the top half of the panel.

The challenge this week at Less is More is Silhouette so I am joing in with the challenge.

Happy Birthday

hello..........

I seam to be making lots of nice bright cards just lately think it must be this dreary weather we are having, we have not seen much sunshine here in Leicester this week!

I have been sorting out my craft stash and found this gorgeous stamp from lil of the valley, she is just so cute that I immediately inked it and stamped onto watercolour card.
I then noticed this card here on the gallery over at LOTV and fell in love with the colour and design so I cased the card colours, and the wonky layout.
I used distress inks to colour her and the card I have used is Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo, the Happy Birthdy sentiment  I also found in my stash and no idea where its from ! I used a Blue Print die to cut the little tags and circle and then stamped Take it easy from another stamp set from LOTV.
My daughter bought me a little sewing machine from hobby craft for christmas, so I decided to use it to stitch around my card, I love to see stitching but it is always to much trouble to get my big machine out and set it up, but this was so easy so you will be seeing more stitching on my cards!!

I am off to help my Mum & Dad move into their little bungalow this weekend, it seems ages since they sold their old house and we had hoped they would be in before christmas but better late than never,
I will catch up with you all after the week end.

MAWTT - Embossing

Welcome to a new challenge at MAWTT

This fortnight it was the turn of Diane from team A to choose our challenge and she would like
to see Embossing Dry/Wet on your creation.

I have used a snippet of smooshed card from previous card, which was created using Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight ink with some inca gold mixed in.  I stamped the image from You've Got this set, in versa mark and heat embossed in white. The flower was then fussy cut.

To create the panel I made a mask of my flower and used the grunge stamp from awesomely artistic stamp set and daffodil delight ink pad.  I stamped off onto some scrap paper and then stamped my panel as i didn't want the colour to bright.
The sentiment is from perfect pairs. I used Melon Mambo card stock for my base.

Sprinkles of life

I have created this card using Sprinkles of Life stamp set.  I made a base card from Crumb Cake, added a panel of Pink Piroutte, and topped this with a panel of Very vanilla.
The cake was stamped using Crumb Cake and I used Pink Piroutte to stamp the cake topping onto pink card. I used the co-ordinating punch to punch out.
The sentiment is from the same set and I created a little banner from some Very vanilla card stock and snipped the ends. I have added some glamour dust but it is not showing very well.

I was inspired to create this card by the current challenge over at Addicted to CAS

Kissing Technique

hello..... hope you are all having a great week end and if in the UK not suffering to much with the cold and snow.

I have made a birthday card in some nice bright colours, as previously mentioned I have lots of birthdays this month and next so trying to get some in hand.
I have been inspired by TWO challenges for my card, I followed the sketch at
Create with Connie & Mary and the technique over at Less is More Kissing Technique

CCMC389

I started off by inking Something Lacy background stamp in Melon Mambo ink, then stamped the large flower from Crazy about You with Pink Pirouette, before touching it to the something lacy stamp and then stamping onto whisper white card, I stamped 2 flowers and then punched them out with the co ordingating punch.
My card base is Melon Mambo and I cut two strips of whisper white card, and added them to my card base.  I fussy cut the centre of one of my flowers and layered it to give a bit of dimension to my card.  I added a little Melon Mambo enamel dot to the centre, stamped Happy Birthday from Crazy about You in Melon Mambo.

This is a fab technique and I had such fun that I decided to create another card.

for this card I used the same stamp sets and  Blackberry Bliss, Pink Pirouette ink using the same technique I made a piece of background card, adding some petite petals and a little bit of grunge in Smoky Slate,  I used a curved border die that I have had ages to create a gap and then stamped the Happy Birthday.  I added some gems to the large flowers.

Merry Christmas

This week challenge over at Merry Monday is Plaid.  I have used some snippets of
Merry Moments DSP and Lots of Joy stamp set. I stamped my tree in Mossy Meadow and used the tree punch to punch out.  The sentiment is stamped in Real Red and I added some gold twine which unfortunately is now discontinued.

You will have to excuse my limited typing but I cut my finger on my paper cutter (don't know how when there is a guard on it!) and its right on the end!

Happy Birthday

Good morning...........

I have a card to share today using the colour challenge over at The Paper Players
This is not a colour combination that I would normally use but I thought I would have a go and I was pleased with my end result although it is still very CAS
I have lots of Birthdays in the first 2 months of the year so I find that after the Christmas rush I go straight into Birthday Cards.

Stampin Up Only challenge  is Cards in the Wintertime

I am adding this card to both challenges

I started off with a card base in Whisper White and added some Melon Mambo from
It's My Party DSP available in the new seasonal catalogue. I cut a stitched panel in whisper white and stamped my sentiment from Party Wishes in Tempting Turquoise, I used some scrap whisper white and  stamped 3 ballooons 2 in real red and 1 in Melon Mambo before using the balloon punch from the Party Punch Pack and added them to my panel, mounting the Melon Mambo with dimesionals and adding some string in Tempting turquoise.
I finished off with some silver cord trim and candy dots.

If you would like to purchase any of the items I have used just click on the links below and you will be taken to my stampin up shop.

AwesomelyArtistic

Good evening...........

Once a month I attend a technique class with the lovely Joanne from the crafty owl blog and we recently had a class using the gorgeous stamp set Awesomely Artistic and at the end of the class
we were given a wooden sentiment and tasked to make a card using the stamp set and sentiment.
I chose the word thanks and when I saw the colour challenge over at
CAS Colours & Sketches I knew what I was going to create.

I used Smoky Slate for my care base. I wanted to have some of the flower stamp showing both top and bottom of my panel so I masked off the middle of the card and then stamped the flower at the top, and then re-inked and stamped the bottom half again so that I had a small bit of flower showing.
I created the panel by cutting a strip of Whisper White card and stamped the large leaves in Smoky Slate, and the smaller leaves in Pool Party. I then used the grunge stamp and Marina Mist to go over the leaves.
I then mounted the panel onto some Marina Mist card, added the wooden Thanks The Dragon fly is stamped in Marina Mist and then fussy cut before mounting with a glue dot.

I love this colour combination

I created a base from Whisper White card stock, and stamped my little clouds in Pool Party ink, I then sponged some soft sky around the clouds.  The main image was stamped in black memento as was the sentiment. A very quick and easy one layer card.
