AwesomelyArtistic

Good evening...........

Once a month I attend a technique class with the lovely Joanne from the crafty owl blog and we recently had a class using the gorgeous stamp set Awesomely Artistic and at the end of the class
we were given a wooden sentiment and tasked to make a card using the stamp set and sentiment.
I chose the word thanks and when I saw the colour challenge over at
CAS Colours & Sketches I knew what I was going to create.

I used Smoky Slate for my care base. I wanted to have some of the flower stamp showing both top and bottom of my panel so I masked off the middle of the card and then stamped the flower at the top, and then re-inked and stamped the bottom half again so that I had a small bit of flower showing.
I created the panel by cutting a strip of Whisper White card and stamped the large leaves in Smoky Slate, and the smaller leaves in Pool Party. I then used the grunge stamp and Marina Mist to go over the leaves.
I then mounted the panel onto some Marina Mist card, added the wooden Thanks The Dragon fly is stamped in Marina Mist and then fussy cut before mounting with a glue dot.

I love this colour combination

all products used are available from Stampin Up If you would like to purchase anything I have used then please click on the email link in the side bar.

Don't forget that if you spend £45 you can choose a free item from the

  4. Hello Gail! First, THANK YOU for visiting my blog; your sweet comments sure add sparkle to my day! Coming here (went for a wee wander through your blog...) has been an eye-opening, breath-taken away delight, especially with this stunning card you've shared today. The panel is so eye-catching, especially with the flowers stamped above and below. You've created a perfect 'landing site' for the star of the show: the dragonfly! Gorgeous! Whoever receives this thank you card will be mega-watt smiling! WOW!
    Happy Monday!
