Have you tried smooshing? I learnt this technique from the very talented Loll over at Stamping with Loll and if you visit her blog HERE you will find some great video's for inspiration.
I have been inspired by both of the above challenges for my card, I used the colours of the flowers from the Addicted to Stamps photo picking out the deep pink and yellow, and the technique for January Happy Little Stampers is smooshing.
I created the background panel using, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight ink pads, and a little Inca Gold spritzed with some water before dropping my card into it and smooshing. The Inca Gold gives a lovley shine to parts of the panel.
The lovely large numbers are die cuts from the new sessional Stampin Up catalogue and absolutely fab. I used a stitched rectangle to cut my panel added a sentiment from Happy Little Stampers Mix Mash set and some gold stars from a sequin pack.
I am adding my card to the following challenges
Beautiful vibrant colours! Love your smooshing!
